Spring is all around us as the flowers and trees are in full bloom. Boat owners in the cooler regions are looking forward to getting back out on their boats and boat yards have been busy getting the boats ready. We have seen an uptick in activity as more people learn about the benefits of Eco-Clad. We were also very pleased to see that Practical Sailor magazine rated Eco-Clad as excellent in its review of new bottom paints in the March issue. This further supports that Eco-Clad is best choice for an environmentally friendly bottom paint that also gives superior performance.
Eco-Clad Enthusiast – Jeff Karstadt
Jeff Karstadt, the General Manager of Yacht Boarding Systems, Inc., www.BoardingRamp.com, a manufacturer of portable boat boarding ramps and vessel boarding solutions, had his 42′ Silverton Motor Yacht’s bottom painted with Eco-Clad in June, 2011. We caught up with Jeff at the Miami International Boat Show and this is what he had to say. “I have been very pleased with Eco-Clad. I have seen a 2 MPH speed increase at WOT and about a 10%-12% better fuel economy since I applied Eco-Clad. Now after nine months in the saltwater of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, my diver reported that there was still no marine growth on the hull. This boat is now up for sale and when it does sell, I will definitely have Eco-Clad put on the next one. Feel free to use me as a reference as to the quality of your product.”
